CAIRO – 25 November 2024: Egypt’s Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli inaugurated on Monday the 3rd edition of the International Manufacturing Convention and Exhibition (IMCE) organized by the Federation of Industries, at the Al-Manara International Conference and Exhibition Center.
The three-day event will witness the participation of 18 industrial and production sectors, representing the backbone of the country's economic sectors.
The exhibition aims to support international collaborative initiatives between industrial entities at the regional levels (Arab, African, Euro-Mediterranean and international) to contribute to achieving sustainable economic development.
The forum addresses challenges facing the industrial sector, along with mechanisms meant to direct efforts towards a better industrial future, in addition to enhancing investment and achieving economic development, activating partnerships and cooperation with economic and industrial entities in Arab, African and European countries.
The role of private sector's institutions in preparing and developing qualified technical cadres for the local and international labor market, in cooperation with the relevant State bodies will also figure high on the gathering's agenda.
Madbouli Monday said that holding the International Manufacturing Convention and Exhibition (IMCE) under the auspices of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi underscores great importance attached by the state to develop the industrial sector and promote its contribution to luring investments and achieving sustainable economic development.
The state gives top priority to the event which is deemed a platform for addressing challenges facing the industrial sector and proposing solutions for them, Madbouli said, adding that the expo is an opportunity for activating partnerships with the economic and industrial blocs at the Arab, African and international levels.
The premier made the remarks, on behalf of president Sisi, during the inauguration of the third edition of the IMCE that is organized by the Federation of Industries (FEI), at the Al-Manara International Conference and Exhibition Center in Cairo.
Upon his arrival, Madbouli was received by Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Development and Minister of Industry and Transport Kamel el Wazir and FEI Chairman Mohamed Zaki El Sewedy.
A number of panel discussions and workshops will be held during the forum to tackle investment in industry, sustainability, energy industry, industrial digital transformation, economic changes, supporting Egyptian exports, the future of chemical industries, mechanisms to support the national industry as well as the emerging opportunities in the industrial sector.
A documentary was played at the opening of the forum about the development of the Egyptian industrial sector and its promising opportunities.
The short film reviewed the outcomes of developing a number of factories and companies in recent years, expanding their activities and contribution to boosting the volume of national exports.
It also touched on the impact of the development in roads, new cities, ports, alongside the infrastructure sectors in enhancing industrial growth opportunities in the Egyptian market and attracting global companies to invest in Egypt.
Meanwhile, Madbouli witnessed activities of a session entitled "Investment in Industry.. Opportunities for Integration and Growth" as part of activities of the forum.

IMCE is considered one of the biggest events organized by the FEI.
Its first edition took place in October 2022 and its second edition in October 2023 under the patronage president Sisi.
