Egypt eager for collaboration with Kuwait on cybersecurity, labor supply: FM

CAIRO – 24 November 2024: Minister of Foreign Affairs and Immigration Badr Abdelatty met Sunday with Kuwaiti Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense and Acting Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al-Sabah.

 

The minister presented the steps and measures taken by the Egyptian government to improve the investment climate and eliminate obstacles that face investors, as well as the investment opportunities available in various sectors that can be seized by Kuwaiti firms.

 

In another context, the minister hailed the Kuwaiti authorities for providing care to Egyptian expats, commending the outcomes of the convention of the joint labor committee in August. In that framework, Minister Abdelatty expressed readiness to supply qualified and trained labor, highlighting the successful experience of joint online employment platforms with other countries.

 

The Egyptian minister also welcomed discussions on security and military collaboration to overcome security challenges, especially those pertinent to cybersecurity.
