40 Takfiris killed, five others arrested in N. Sinai

CAIRO - 25 July 2017: Law enforcement forces of the Second Field Army killed 40 Takfiris and arrested five others within the fourth phase of Operation Martyr's Right to uproot terrorism in North Sinai, the military spokesman said in a statement on Tuesday.

The raids were carried out for the seventh day in a row in El Arish, Sheikh Zuweid and Rafah cities in cooperation with the Air Forces, the spokesman added.

Twenty vehicles, four motorbikes and four booby-trapped cars were destroyed within the course of the raids, the spokesman said.

Military forces also destroyed 52 hideouts, more than 100 explosive devices and eight arms workshops, the spokesman added.
