CAIRO- 21 November 2024: Egypt’s Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli inaugurated on Thursday the New Valley agricultural exhibition in Kharga city at the end of his visit to New Valley governorate.
The exhibition is held under the sponsorship of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi in cooperation between the agriculture and industry ministries.
The premier toured different sections of the exhibition.
New Valley Governor Mohamed Zamlout said the exhibition covers domains of sustainable green economy, smart irrigation and solar energy in addition to dates products.
He said the exhibition aims at boosting startups as well as micro- and small-sized companies operating in the agricultural domain and increasing grains production to meet local consumption needs and export the surplus.
The exhibition provides a chance to bring together farmers, manufacturers, importers and supply chains.
During the tour, the prime Minister underlined the necessity of taking necessary measures and carrying out scenarios that ensure a state of preparedness while addressing any crises or emergencies as far as the rainfall is concerned in New Valley governorate.
The premier was inspecting some special equipment of the drinking water and drainage sectors during his visit to June 30 water station in Kharga city in the governorate as part of his trip to the New Valley on Thursday.
Madbouli's visit to the New Valley governorate in southern Egypt aimed at officially opening a number of development and service projects.
Madbouli inspected Kharga Youth City, during his visit to New Valley Governorate. The premier was keen to inspect the main building and conference hall.
Minister of Youth and Sports Ashraf Sobhi said the Youth City offers integrated services and activities and was designed according to the latest trends, and aims primarily at enhancing the capabilities of the young people of the governorate and supporting various talents
