Azerbaijani FM makes phone call to Egyptian counterpart to discuss issues of joint concern

CAIRO – 21 November 2024: Minister of Foreign Affairs and Immigration Badr Abdelatty received Thursday a phone call from his Azerbaijani counterpart Jeyhun Bayramov as they exchanged views on regional and international issues of joint concern.

Hence, Minister Abdelatty presented Egypt's vision on the conflicts in the Middle East, and Israeli aggression against Gaza Strip and Lebanon, stressing the salience of a ceasefire.  

As for bilateral ties, the minister urged building on the outcomes of the Egyptian president's visit to Baku in January 2023, and the Azerbaijani president's visit to Cairo in June 2024 to bolster economic cooperation, trade exchange, and investments.

Minister Abdelatty also underlined the importance of collaboration and coordination on the international community level, and reciprocating support to candidates for international positions.
