Sisi stresses continued capacity building of comprehensive forces amid regional developments

CAIRO – 21 November 2024: Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi has stressed that the successive events and turbulent situation in the region confirm that our choice for just and sustainable peace requires us to continue building the capabilities of the comprehensive forces to safeguard the nation.

He also underlined that these efforts should be coupled with continued comprehensive development efforts to fulfill Egyptian people’s aspirations for a better future as he met on Thursday with various military leaders at the Strategic Command headquarters in the New Administrative Capital.

Abdel Mageed Saqr, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of Defense and Military Production, Ahmed Khalifa, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, and commanders of the main branches of the Armed Forces attended the meeting.

Sisi and the army commanders discussed regional and global developments as well as their implications on security and stability in the Middle East.

They also addressed the efforts of the Armed Forces in securing all strategic directions of the state and ensuring the forces’ preparedness for the assigned tasks.

In this regard, Sisi praised the efforts made by the Egyptian Armed Forces to protect the nation’s borders from any potential threats.
