Mustafa made the remarks during the opening ceremony of water purification plant in Hanady village of the Upper Egyptian governorate of Luxor on Monday.
She said the new plant is more than just an infrastructure project, rather it symbolizes the enduring partnership between the US and Egypt, and reaffirms her country's commitment to fostering sustainable growth and prosperity for the Egyptian people.
Meanwhile, Board Chairman of Luxor Water and Wastewater Company, Maj. Gen. Ahmed Ramadan said that the new plant, located east of the city of Esna, serves 133,000 citizens in 10 villages in the region.
The project and its transmission line cost $22 million funded by the US Agency for International Development (USAID).
