Deputy Prime Minister for Human Development and Minister of Health and Population Khaled Abdel Ghaffar met with Saudi Minister of Health Fahd bin Abdulrahman Al-Jalajel
CAIRO- 16 November 2024: Deputy Prime Minister for Human Development and Minister of Health and Population Khaled Abdel Ghaffar met with Saudi Minister of Health Fahd bin Abdulrahman Al-Jalajel to discuss developments in joint cooperation between the two countries in the health sector.
The meeting of the two ministers came on the sidelines of the activities of the 4th Ministerial Conference on Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR), hosted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, said the Egyptian Health Ministry in a statement on Saturday.
Both Ministers exchanged experiences and visions between the two countries, in addition to discussing the latest developments in the joint files being worked on in the health sector. These files contributes to implementing strategies that achieve the vision of each country, towards advancing the health system.
They also discussed expanding investments in the health sector, as well as cooperation in the fields of digital transformation of health services, comprehensive health insurance and patient safety, to benefit from the successful experiences of the Saudi side in the field of health digitization.
Additionally, the meeting discussed opportunities for Egyptian-Saudi cooperation in the fields of localizing the pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical industry, within the framework of the efforts of Arab countries to achieve drug security for Arab peoples.
The two sides discussed cooperation in order to continue providing medical support to the Palestinian people who are suffering the nonstop Israeli aggression.
