CAIRO- 15- November 2024: Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Immigration Badr Abdelatty met, on Friday, with his Cypriot counterpart, Constantinos Kombos, on the sidelines of the 15th Sir Bani Yas Forum in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). 

 

During the meeting, Minister Abdelatty praised the distinguished Egyptian-Cypriot relations and joint cooperation at various levels, praising the strategic bilateral relations and looking forward to developing them in various fields.

 

He also noted Egypt's keenness to hold the 10th summit within the framework of the tripartite cooperation mechanism between Egypt, Cyprus and Greece hosted by Egypt, as well as holding the second session of the Supreme Governmental Committee headed by the Egyptian and Cypriot presidents.

 

Minister Abdelatty stressed Egypt's keenness to strengthen economic, trade and investment relations between the two countries by forming a joint business council. He shed light on the importance of intensifying joint economic activities to enhance investment and trade cooperation, especially in the fields of energy, agriculture, tourism, maritime transport and fisheries.

 

The Minister of Foreign Affairs also discussed the file of employing Egyptian workers in Cyprus.
