CAIRO- 14- November 2024: Chief of Staff of the Egyptian Armed Forces Lieutenant General Ahmed Khalifa met with the chief of the Turkish General Staff General Metin Gürak and his accompanying delegation, who is currently visiting Egypt on an official visit that will last for several days.
An official reception ceremony was held for the Turkish General at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Ministry of Defense, and the military bands played the national anthems of both countries.

Both generals addressed a number of files and topics of common interest in light of the military cooperation relations and exchange of expertise between the Egyptian and Turkish armed forces, according to a statement released by the Egyptian Ministry of Defense on Thursday.
The Egyptian Chief of Staff stressed the depth of the partnership relations and bilateral cooperation and coordination of efforts to achieve common interests and support prospects for military cooperation and exchange of expertise between the armed forces of both sides.
Meanwhile, Chief of General Staff of the Turkish Armed Forces expressed his appreciation for the depth of ties and relations between the two friendly countries, stressing his country's keenness to enhance the fruitful military relations between the armed forces of both sides during the coming period.
The meeting was attended by a number of leaders of the armed forces of both countries, the Turkish ambassador and the Turkish military attaché in Cairo.
