CAIRO – 14 November 2024: Cairo and Manama have discussed a Bahraini request to increase direct and air cargo flights with Egypt to enhance their commercial and economic relations during the Bahrain International Airshow 2024.

The discussions came during a meeting between Egypt’s Minister of Civil Aviation Sameh El-Hefny and Bahrain’s Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications Sheikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa on Wednesday on the sidelines of the airshow, held from 13-15 November at Sakhir Air Base.

Egypt and Bahrain discussed ways to enhance bilateral cooperation in civil aviation to achieve desired benefits for both countries.

Founded in 2010, the Bahrain International Airshow is a prominent international event in the aviation sector, bringing together industry leaders, experts and major companies to exchange expertise and showcase the latest technologies and innovations in the industry.

This prestigious event is organized periodically every two years as part of the strategic plan of Bahrain, which aims to enhance the aviation industry, travel, and tourism.
