The meeting, which took place at the Ministry's headquarters in the New Administrative Capital, highlighted the strong bilateral relationship and explored avenues for future collaborations, according to Health Ministry Spokesman Hossam Abdel Ghaffar.

Abdel Ghaffar expressed his gratitude to Belgium for its early support to the development of Egypt's healthcare system, particularly in providing medical care to injured Palestinians.

Both sides agreed to explore opportunities of exchanging medical know-how through training programs, with Belgian experts visiting Egypt and Egyptian healthcare professionals receiving training in Belgium, the spokesman said.

Abdel Ghaffar invited Belgian experts and pharmacists to visit Egyptian pharmaceutical factories and hospitals to get first hand information about the country's healthcare system and public health initiatives.

The meeting touched on cooperation in radiology and burn care, the spokesman added.

It also shed light on Egyptians efforts to provide all forms of support to the injured Palestinians.

Meanwhile, ambassador de Groof thanked Abdel Ghaffar for providing facilitation to boost cooperation between the two countries as well as for his efforts to develop the health sector in Egypt.
