Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty made a phone call with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of the Congo Jean-Claude Gakosso

CAIRO- 7 November 2024: Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty made a phone call with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of the Congo Jean-Claude Gakosso to discuss the African issues of mutual concern, on Thursday.

 

Both sides addressed the historic bilateral relations on all economic and political level, said the Egyptian Foreign Ministry in a statement.

 

Abdelatty affirmed Egypt's readiness to transfer Egyptian expertise to support Congo in activating the 2022-2026 National Development Plan, which includes several sectors, most notably agriculture, tourism, and the development of special economic zones.

 

During the call, the two ministers exchanged views on issues of common interest, and stressed the importance of achieving consensus and unifying African ranks. 

 

The two ministers agreed to exchange support for the two countries' nominations in regional and international forums.
