CAIRO – 7 November 2024: Minister of Foreign Affairs and Immigration Badr Abdel Aty met Wednesday with his newly-appointed Sudanese counterpart Ahmed al-Sherif affirming Egypt's support to Sudan's state institutions, sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity.
The minister added that Egypt would continue to back Sudan during the current critical crisis on the political and humanitarian levels. He equally noted that the Egyptian government had been giving the necessary care to the displaced Sudanese on its territories.
There was also congruence among the two ministers on the stance pertaining to water security, as both underscored that it is a matter of existence that cannot be handled with lenience, as indicated in a press statement.
