CAIRO – 6 November 2024: Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs Badr Abdel Aty and his Dutch counterpart Caspar Veldkamp chaired Wednesday the meetings of officials from both countries and that are aimed at bolstering cooperation in the sectors of energy, logistics, digitalization, artificial intelligence, pharmaceuticals and water management.
Hence, the two sides discussed establishing a joint business council to facilitate communication between members of the business community in both countries, and subsequently, partnerships in the abovementioned fields. In that framework, Minister Abdel Aty shed light on the economic reforms carried out by the Egyptian government to enhance the business climate.
In a different context, the talks tackled cooperation in Africa, and issues pertinent to Egypt's water security. The two ministers also exchanged views on the conflicts in Gaza Strip, Lebanon, and Sudan.
