CAIRO - 5 November 2024: Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health and Population, announced that the "100 Days of Health" initiative has provided 151,769,147 medical services since its launch by Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly on July 31, 2024, as part of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi's "A New Beginning for Human Development" initiative. This figure reflects services provided until the evening of Monday, November 4, 2024.
Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the official spokesperson for the Ministry of Health and Population, revealed that on the last day alone, the campaign delivered 1,797,918 services.
These included 562,417 services under the Basic Care and Family Planning sector and 411,504 services from the Therapeutic Care sector. Additionally, 95,858 services were provided under presidential public health initiatives.
The Preventive Medicine sector contributed 49,656 services, while hospitals under the Medical Centers Secretariat provided 92,267 services. The General Authority for Hospitals and Educational Institutes delivered 40,387 services, and the Mental Health Support Initiative served 184,914 individuals. Public Health Insurance Authority hospitals and clinics provided 232,500 services, while the Ambulance Authority handled 4,235 emergency cases.
The Specialized Medical Councils issued 7,965 treatment decisions funded by the state, alongside conducting 1,934 surgeries as part of the waiting list reduction program. Additionally, hospitals under the medical institution umbrella provided 43,801 services.
The "100 Days of Health" initiative also focused on health awareness, educating 70,480 citizens through community outreach teams active in public areas, clubs, and shopping centers across governorates. These teams aimed to raise awareness and guide citizens to available services, along with hosting educational seminars and awareness activities.
Abdel Ghaffar encouraged all citizens to visit campaign service points and mobile clinic hubs for full benefit or request home visits for elderly and immobile patients via the hotline "15335."
