CAIRO- 4 November 2024: Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty held a virtual meeting Monday with President of the World Economic Forum (WEF) Borge Brende.
Abdelatty said that he looks forward to meeting Brende in Cairo this month.
He further emphasized the importance of investing in his visit to open up new vistas of cooperation between Egypt and the WEF through innovative ideas and initiatives to support development efforts in Egypt and lure more investments.
The foreign minister highlighted development and economic reform efforts in Egypt, affirming that Egypt gives top priority to enhancing the private sector's role in business activities in numerous sectors.
He pointed out to the ambitious measures taken by the government to improve the investment climate and remove obstacles facing investors.
The two sides also discussed the latest developments in the Gaza Strip, Lebanon, Sudan, and the East African region.
