CAIRO - 1 November 2024: China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC) will study establishing an industrial zone in New Alamein Mediterranean city, the company’s president Wen Bing said in a Thursday meeting with Egypt’s prime minister.
CSCEC is tasked with the establishment of the Central Business District in the New Administrative Capital Prime, an artificial lake and a medical city in New Alamein, which is planned to be included in China’s Belt Road, according to the company’s president Wen Bing.
Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly explained in his meeting with Bing that the industrial zone in the New Alamein City would represent a successful model for partnership between Egypt and China, especially in important industries such as electric cars, new and renewable energy inputs, and construction and building materials.
This is even more important in the context of major projects being implemented in the Northwest Coast region, most notably Ras El Hekma City, which requires construction and building materials.
Bing emphasized that the steel structures and glass facades plant in Ain Sokhna has been completed, and its output is in increasing demand, expressing his aspiration to make new expansions by obtaining additional lands for the project.
