President Sisi congratulates Guterres on United Nations Day

CAIRO – 30 October 2024: President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi extended his congratulations to United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres on Wednesday on the commemoration of United Nations Day, state’s news agency MENA reported.

President Sisi dispatched presidential secretary Mohamed Atef El-Amin to the UN Resident Coordinator Office in Cairo to convey felicitations on this occasion.

Observed on October 24th, the United Nations Day commemorates the establishment of the United Nations in 1945 when the UN Charter came into effect. The pivotal document was ratified by a significant number of its signatories, including the Security Council's five permanent members.
