Egypt, Qatar strengthen diplomatic ties to address regional crises

CAIRO – 29 October 2024: In a recent phone conversation, Egypt's Minister of Foreign Affairs and Migration, Badr Abdel Aty, engaged with Qatar's Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, to discuss crucial bilateral and regional issues, emphasizing shared efforts toward stability.

The two diplomats reviewed Egypt-Qatar bilateral relations across political, economic, and investment areas, focusing on opportunities to enhance cooperation between the two countries. Both ministers expressed a commitment to furthering strategic partnerships, building on the mutual interests of Egypt and Qatar.

A significant portion of the discussion centered on the ongoing Israeli attacks on Gaza.
