Egypt upholds UN charter principles, international law

CAIRO – 24 October 2024: Egypt has reaffirmed its commitment to the principles of the United Nations Charter and international law during the celebration of United Nations Day. This reiteration of dedication comes as Egypt continues to play a vital role in global diplomacy, advocating for peace, security, and cooperation among nations.

On this occasion, Ambassador Tamim Khalaf, spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Migration, emphasized the long-standing partnership between Egypt and the United Nations. He highlighted that over the past 79 years, Egypt and the UN have worked closely together to ensure a more secure and peaceful world.

Egypt has been a steadfast supporter of the United Nations and its efforts to maintain international peace and security. The country has consistently aligned itself with the core values of the UN, including the promotion of human rights, sustainable development, and conflict resolution.
