Presidential decree establishing Golden Triangle Economic Zone

CAIRO – 24 July 2017: President Abdel Fatah al Sisi issued Monday a presidential decree establishing the Golden Triangle Economic Zone.

Published in the official gazette under number 341/2017, the decree considered the Golden Triangle as an economic zone of special nature.


With a 2,228,754.25-feddan span, the economic zone will cover El Qoseir, Safaga, Qena, and Qift.

The area allocated for the economic zone will not include the existing properties or the Armed Forces' land.
