CAIRO - 21 October 2024: A total of 126 million, 492 thousand, and 791 medical services were provided as part of “100 Days of Healthy Lives” Campaign since the launch ot its second edition in July, announced Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health and Population Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar.
This comes within the framework of the President Sisi’s initiative “A New Beginning for Building the Human Being”.
Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the official spokesperson for the Ministry of Health and Population, explained that the campaign provided 1 million, 765 thousand, and 83 services Saturday, adding that according to the division of services of the various sectors, agencies, and initiatives, the “100 Days of Health” campaign provided 566 thousand, 839 services, through the primary care and family planning sector.
Abdel Ghaffar added that the "100 Days of Healthy Lives" Campaign provided 406,856 services through the therapeutic care sector, in addition to providing 107,988 services under the presidential initiatives for public health. The preventive medicine sector provided 80,619 services, in addition to providing 93,743 services through the hospitals of the Secretariat of Specialized Medical Centers.
Abdel Ghaffar pointed out that the campaign provided 41,553 services through the units affiliated with the General Authority for Hospitals and Educational Institutes, while the Mental Health Support Initiative provided 116,602 services, and the hospitals and clinics of the General Authority for Health Insurance provided 220,317 services.
Abdel Ghaffar said that the Ambulance Authority provided 4,410 emergency services, while specialized medical councils issued 8,575 treatment decisions at the state's expense, in addition to conducting 1,823 operations on waiting lists, while the institution's treatment hospitals provided 47,909 services.
Abdel Ghaffar added that the "100 Days of Healthy Lives" campaign provided health awareness and education services to 67,838 citizens, through community outreach teams spread across public areas, clubs and malls in the governorates, to raise awareness and direct citizens to receive the services provided by the campaign, in addition to holding educational seminars and awareness activities.
Abdel Ghaffar called on all citizens to go to the campaign's service delivery headquarters and mobile clinics to benefit from their services, or request home visits for elderly patients and those unable to move via the hotline "15335"
