CAIRO - 19 October 2024: Egyptian Finance Minister Ahmed Kojok stressed that Egypt and Kuwait have a long history of joint economic relations and have promising prospects based on strong foundations.

He added that these relations "prompt us to encourage work to enhance joint investments in various sectors and expand the scope of trade exchange between the two countries; to achieve the benefit of the two peoples."

The minister said, during his meeting with his Kuwaiti counterpart Noura Al-Fassam, on the sidelines of their participation in the Arab-Turkish Economic Forum, that Arab integration in the field of financial policies "can create a sustainable framework to confront economic and social challenges and the severe pressures they represent."

He further called on investors to benefit from the new and diverse opportunities provided by the Egyptian economy, exploiting the advanced infrastructure and incentive programs we now have.

"We are keen to create a more attractive environment for investments, and we have already announced tax breaks recently to encourage the local and foreign business community to invest in Egypt," he added.
