CAIRO – 17 October 2024: EgyptAir operated an exceptional flight to bring back the stranded Egyptians to their homeland amid ongoing developments in Lebanon, on Thursday, announced the Egyptian Ministry of Civil Aviation in a statement on Thursday.

 

 

The Ministry added that this flight is the second one bringing back the Egyptian expats from Lebanon amid the Israeli war on this Arab country.

 

 

The Flight No. 1711 MS departed from Cairo International Airport at 2:30 PM, carrying 22 tons of humanitarian aid and medical supplies provided by the Egyptian Red Crescent. Upon arrival at Beirut Airport, the aid shipment was unloaded, the Ministry said.

 

 

On the return flight, the aircraft transported 304 Egyptian citizens wishing to return from Beirut to Cairo, the statement continued.

 

 

On the 6th of October 2024, a total of 286 Egyptian nationals were evacuated from Lebanon onboard of an EgyptAir flight.

 

 

Since the escalating the military confrontations between Israel and Lebanese Hezbollah, several governments have started evacuated their nationals from Lebanon.
