CAIRO – 14 October 2024: Twelve people were killed and 33 others were injured in bus accident on Al-Galala-Ain Sokhna Road, announced the Egyptian Ministry of Health in a statement on Monday.

 

The statement added that all the injured people had been admitted to the Suez Medical Complex in the Suez Governorate. It noted that 28 ambulances rushed to the accident site to transport the victims.

 

The cause of the accident is still under investigation.

 

Tragedy struck as one person was killed and 21 individuals were injured when a locomotive collided with the rear of a sleeper train en route from Aswan to Cairo, causing two train carriages to fall into the Ibrahimiya Canal in Upper Egypt.
