Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar Announces 39.6 Million Services Delivered by the Presidential Initiative "Bedaya – A New Beginning for Human Development" Since Its Launch
Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Deputy Prime Minister for Human Development and Minister of Health and Population, announced that the total number of services delivered by "Bedaya – A New Beginning for Human Development" initiative has reached 39,562,332 since its launch.
In the past four days alone, 5,916,175 services were provided. These included initiatives aimed at empowering and training 13,952 women through 146 activities. Additionally, 21.8 tons of meat and essential food supplies were distributed to 34,955 families, alongside 267 educational, scientific, and cultural seminars, which engaged 122,210 participants.
During the same period, the initiative provided 80,144 services across various youth and sports activities. Awareness campaigns conducted by community leaders benefited 225,295 citizens. Social assistance programs, including education grants, marriage support, and compensation, were provided to 16,769 citizens. Furthermore, 428 disability certificates and integrated service cards were distributed, and 30,397 beneficiaries received "Takaful and Karama" cash support cards.
"Bedaya" initiative also implemented door-to-door campaigns to raise awareness about the risks of addiction, reaching 5,000 young men and women. Rehabilitation and treatment services, along with assistive devices, were provided to 4,843 individuals with disabilities. Additionally, 4,867,000 healthcare services were delivered through 47 medical convoys, covering therapeutic, preventive, family planning, home visits, maternal health, and child growth monitoring.
The initiative organized 800 cultural activities, including seminars, lectures, workshops, and theater performances, benefiting around 65,000 citizens. It also launched 42 adult literacy classes, which benefited 1,065 individuals, and organized literacy exam convoys that helped 75 citizens across different governorates. Furthermore, 12,736 medium, small, and micro projects were funded for youth and underprivileged families, while financial inclusion seminars led by community leaders reached 2,844 participants. In addition, 356,627 veterinary services were provided, covering deworming, spraying, vaccination campaigns, reproductive care, poultry treatment, public health, and awareness seminars.
"Bedaya" initiative hosted 188 seminars to raise environmental awareness and address climate-related issues, reaching 3,308 participants, as well as 62 seminars aimed at empowering youth, women, and soon-to-be-married couples, benefiting 2,807 citizens. The national program "Mawada" trained 3,372 soon-to-be-married individuals, alongside 30 seminars addressing cybercrimes and cyberattacks, benefiting 1,690 participants.
The initiative has also increased the availability of documentation and certification services for official documents during evening hours through mobile units, providing 3,216 services across various governorates.
