CAIRO – 4 October 2024: The Ministry of Education and Technical Education have established several schools in Sinai and the Canal cities.

The Ministry added in a statement that eight Egyptian-Japanese schools have been set up in these regions, including two in South Sinai, one in North Sinai, two in Suez, one in Ismailia, and two in Port Said.

Additionally, six schools for applied technology have been established: three in Port Said Governorate, one in Suez Governorate, one in South Sinai, and one in Ismailia.

Last month, Minister of Education and Technical Education Mohamed Abdel Latif stated that the number of Egyptian-Japanese schools would be upped to 100 in academic year 2024/2025.

The current number is 51, having a total of 13,000 students, and they are distributed among various governorates.

In May, Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli has underscored the paramount importance of the private sector as the primary engine of development.

He emphasizes that nurturing technical education is the cornerstone for initiating industrial renaissance, aligning with global precedents.
