President Sisi received a phone call from Mauritanian President Mohamed Ould Cheikh Al- Ghazouani

CAIRO- 3 October 2024: President Abdel Fattah El Sisi affirmed Egypt's support for Mauritania's current presidency of the African Union, so as to achieve the goals of the peoples of the continent for stability and development.

 

This has been expressed when President Sisi received a phone call from Mauritanian President Mohamed Ould Cheikh Al- Ghazouani, on Thursday.

 

The two presidents affirmed their keenness to advance cooperation between the two countries to enhance bilateral relations across various fields, to be commensurate with the close ties between the two brotherly peoples, and achieve their aspirations and common interests.

 

The call addressed regional developments, including the situation in the Middle East, among other issues issues, including the ongoing efforts to support the Libyan-Libyan solution path, and the two countries' keenness to preserve the unity and sovereignty of Libya and restore security and stability in the country
