CAIRO – 30 September 2024: The Board of Trustees of the National Dialogue convenes to establish the agenda for support sessions and organize an emergency session addressing national security and foreign policy issues.

In a statement, the Board of Trustees of the National Dialogue announced that it will hold an urgent session next Saturday to address regional issues and outline measures supporting the Egyptian state's strong stance on current developments in the region.

President Sisi emphasized that the foundations of Egyptian policy are rooted in balance, moderation, and positivity, aimed at resolving crises rather than escalating them.

Egyptian President Sisi addressed the fresh graduates of the Military Academy for 2024. He said: “Our region is at a critical crossroads, necessitating a strategic dialogue among us to foster understanding of our shared interests.”

President Sisi stressed the need to confront illegal behaviors that attempt to exploit the privileges granted by the state to certain groups.

During an open dialogue, President El-Sisi responded to the students' inquiries regarding various local and international issues. The President emphasized that defending national security is an ongoing process that requires unwavering dedication, affirming that the cohesion and unity of the Egyptian people are the pivot of the state's strategic protection and the essential guarantee for maintaining the security and stability of the nation.

President El-Sisi added that the countries of the region have their own interests that should not conflict with one another, emphasizing the importance of conducting a strategic dialogue among them to foster development and maximize the benefits of their peoples’ resources.

Spokesman for the Presidency, Ambassador Ahmed Fahmy, said President El-Sisi confirmed that the past decade has demonstrated the awareness and resilience of the Egyptian people in facing the challenging circumstances prevailing in the region. He emphasized that the Egyptians stood as a bulwark against attempts to destabilize the country and undermine constitutional institutions, thereby avoiding the negative consequences associated with instability.

Yesterday, President Sisi said that the outcomes of the National Dialogue are very important to clarify developments in regional and international issues amid the ongoing regional limited military escalation between Israel and its ally of the US from side and Hamas in Gaza, Lebanese Hezbollah, and Houthis of Yemen from the other side.

The president highlighted the role of the media in sending reassuring messages to the audience about the closed session of the national dialogue’s sessions, Extra News reported on Sunday.

The President added that the unity of the Egyptian is the only guarantee for standing defiant against any challenges.
