Egypt’s Sisi briefed on industrial urban development projects

CAIRO – 29 September 2024: President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi was briefed on the status of a number of files related to industrial and urban development, on Sunday.

This comes within the framework of the state’s strategy to develop and modernize the industrial base, as well as ways to provide the industrial sector’s needs for new and renewable energy, especially green hydrogen, said Presidential spokesman Ahmed Fahmy in a statement.

This is in addition to ongoing efforts to localize the manufacture of the equipment and means of transportation, Fahmy said.

Those who attended the meeting with President Sisi are Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Development and Minister of Industry and Transport Lieutenant General Kamel El-Wazir, Head of the Armed Forces Financial Affairs Authority Lieutenant General Ahmed El Shazly, President's Advisor for Urban Planning Major General Amir Sayed Ahmed and Head of the Armed Forces Engineering Authority Major General Ahmed Al-Azazy.
