CAIRO - 25 September 2024: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on Wednesday, called on Egyptian citizens to avoid traveling to Lebanon at the present time except in cases of extreme necessity, in light of the escalation of military operations on the Israeli-Lebanese border.

The Ministry also urged Egyptian citizens residing in Lebanon to take the utmost caution and stay away from areas witnessing tension, and to adhere to the instructions of the competent Lebanese authorities, and maintain continuous contact with the Egyptian Embassy in Beirut.

The International Organization for Migration announced that more than 90,000 Lebanese have been newly displaced, including 40,000 in 284 shelters, according to Lebanese media outlets.
 
The Lebanese Ministry of Health announced Wednesday, that the Israeli raids on southern Lebanon led to the death of 23 civilians and the injury of more than 95 others, according to the Lebanese News Agency.
