CAIRO - 23 September 2024: Ain Shams University has secured the second position among Egyptian universities, with 62 of its scholars included in the 2024 edition of Stanford University’s prestigious list of the top 2% of the world's most-cited scientists. This recognition highlights the achievements of scholars across various fields and demonstrates their significant contributions to global research.
This year, the number of Ain Shams University scientists featured on the list increased by 14 compared to the previous year, underscoring the university's consistent excellence and leadership in scientific research.
Dr. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abidine, President of Ain Shams University, along with Dr. Ghada Farouk, Acting Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, and the university’s awards office, extended their congratulations to the distinguished scholars. Their contributions have elevated the university’s status, reinforcing its presence on this important international list.
The report featured scholars from eight faculties at Ain Shams University, including:
Faculty of Pharmacy, Faculty of Education, Faculty of Science, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Agriculture, Faculty of Computers and Information, Faculty of Girls.
The faculties of Pharmacy and Education stood out this year, each having 17 scientists recognized on the Stanford list.
