CAIRO – 22 September 2024: Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly held a meeting on Sunday to review the progress of the first phase of the Ras El-Hikma City Development Project and the status of compensations for local residents.

 

Attendees of the meeting included Deputy Prime Minister Lieutenant General Kamel El-Wazir, Minister of Local Development Dr. Manal Awad, and other key officials.

 

The Prime Minister emphasized the meeting's goal of addressing challenges and ensuring effective coordination among stakeholders. He reiterated efforts to promptly transfer land to the Emirati partner to initiate infrastructure work, which aims to enhance investment, particularly in the tourism sector.

 

Counselor Mohamed Al-Homsani, the official spokesman for the Presidency of the cabinet, reported that the meeting also covered the inventory of land, houses, and plantations in Ras El-Hikma City, as well as the compensation disbursed to residents. Discussions included the status of resettlement in the Matrouh Governorate's "Shams Al-Hikma" area and the ongoing processes for issuing remaining contracts.
