Armed Forces cooperate with state agencies to support presidential initiative 'New Beginning'

CAIRO - 19 September 2024: Lieutenant General Abdel Majeed Saqr, Commander-in-Chief of the Egyptian Armed Forces, and Minister of Defense and Military Production, issued orders to the agencies and departments of the Armed Forces to provide all means of support and assistance for the success of the (A New Beginning for Human Building) presidential initiative.

 

This comes in implementation of the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, to involve all ministries, agencies and institutions concerned in the state in the Presidential Initiative for Human Development (A New Beginning for Human Building).

 

Immediately, the Supply and Catering Authority of the Armed Forces prepared and packed (150) thousand food rations including various food commodities and basic food items to be distributed free of charge to the neediest families in villages and hamlets throughout the governorates of the Republic. This was conducted in coordination with the mobilization formations, military regions and the Ministry of Social Solidarity, by operating a fleet of transport trucks equipped to reach the deserving groups throughout the initiative period.

 

The Armed Forces Medical Services Department also participates in the initiative by conducting more than (220) surgical operations in various specialties in coordination with the Ministry of Health and Population in various medical complexes and military hospitals to contribute to eliminating waiting lists, in addition to supporting the initiative with (50) ambulances distributed across the governorates of the Republic to provide all medical services to citizens and sending (9) medical convoys including all specialties will be dispatched throughout the initiative period to remote and border areas in the governorates of Matrouh, North and South Sinai and Abu Ramad City.

 

The Armed Forces National Service Projects Authority participates with a huge fleet of (200) vehicles equipped as mobile sales outlets loaded with basic food products and commodities at reduced prices that have been paid throughout the country. The Authority also offers the products of all its affiliated companies at cost price in various fixed outlets spread throughout the Republic to confront monopolistic practices in the markets and lift the burdens on citizens.

 

Within the framework of the awareness, educational and rehabilitation role and developing the spirit of loyalty and belonging within the activities of the initiative, the Popular and Military Defense Forces participate in organizing more than (120) visits for school and university students to military units, major national projects and military factories to learn about the latest developments and modernization of the armed forces in its various weapons.

 

The Armed Forces Sports Authority also participates throughout the initiative period, in cooperation with the Popular Defense and Military Forces, the Ministries of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and Education and Technical Education, in organizing many sports activities and meetings between students of Egyptian universities, and military colleges.

 

The Armed Forces Language Institute participates through the main center in Cairo and its affiliated centers within the scope of field armies and military regions in the governorates by holding a number of courses and level determination tests for all languages ​​at reduced prices, as well as offering free courses for students of language colleges.

 

The Armed Forces Moral Affairs Department also takes part, in cooperation with all media outlets, in shedding light on the aspects of the Armed Forces' participation in the initiative's activities, and organizing national activities and seminars in coordination with the leadership of the Popular Defense and Military Forces.

 

The Military Music Department participated with musical bands during the launching activities of the initiative in People's Square in the Administrative Capital, as well as musical bands within the scope of the mobilization formations in the governorates of Ismailia, Suez, Alexandria, Matrouh and Assiut.
