Egypt looks forward to bolstering economic cooperation with Russia: FM

CAIRO – 16 September 2024: Minister of Foreign Affairs Badr Abdelatty met Monday with Russian Minister of Industry and Trade Anton Alikhanov during his visit to Moscow in order to discuss the updates of joint developmental projects.

Minister Abdelatty underscored the importance of bolstering trade exchange, and Russian investments in Egypt in various sectors. That is in addition to facilitating the increase of Egyptian exports to Russia. In that context, the minister expressed hope that the next session of the Egyptian-Russian Committee would produce more steps that would push forward economic cooperation between the two countries in a way that serves their priorities.

The minister began his visit Sunday by meeting members of the diplomatic mission as well as those of the Egyptian community in Russia. The goal of the visit is exploring ways to advance bilateral cooperation, and exchange perspectives on various mutual interests.
