CAIRO – 15 September 2024:  Minister of Foreign Affairs and Immigration Badr Abdelatty departed for Moscow on a bilateral visit designed to enhance relations between the two countries, on Sunday, said the Egyptian Ministry in a statement.

 

During his visit, Abdelatty is expected to engage in discussions with senior Russian officials to explore ways to advance bilateral cooperation, exchange perspectives on various mutual interests, and meet with leaders of the Egyptian community in Russia.

 

The trade exchange between Egypt and Russia marked an increase of 14 percent, to record $5.1 billion from January to November 2023, compared to $4.5 billion in 2022, according to data released by the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS) on 28 January 2024.

 

During the first 11 months of 2023, Egypt's exports to Russia valued at $469 million, showing a decrease of 13.7 percent, compared to $543 million in 2022.
