Egypt’s Sisi congratulates Tebboune for being re-elected as Algerian president for second term

CAIRO – 12 September 2024: President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi spoke by phone with Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune on Thursday evening.

President El-Sisi extended his congratulations to President Tebboune on his re-election in the presidential election and wished him success and prosperity.

President Tebboune valued President El-Sisi’s gesture and affirmed that his country holds in high esteem the historical ties between the two brotherly countries, emphasizing keenness to further enhance their cooperative relations.

The Algerian Election Comission announced on Septmber 8 that Tebboune garnered 95% of the vote to run the country for a second term.
