CAIRO – 10 September 2024: Al Azhar has strongly condemned the massacre committed by the Israeli occupation army in the al-Mawasi area of Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip.

The religious institution said in a statement that the massacre is another genocide crime committed by the occupation forces against the innocent Palestinian people.

At the dawn hours of Tuesday, the Israeli occupation forces carried out the massacre by targeting the tents of displaced Palestinians in al-Mawasi, claiming the lives of at least 40 and injuring 60 others.
