CAIRO – 9 September 2024: Dr. Hossam El-Mallahi, President of Badr University, highlighted that the presence of the Prime Minister and other ministers at the university's inauguration sends a clear message of state support for every serious initiative in Egypt, particularly in the field of education.
He expressed his gratitude to the government for supporting the partnership with Texas Medical University during the university's foundation.
During the university's inauguration speech, Dr. El-Mallahi shared that several years ago, they faced significant challenges at Nahda University in Upper Egypt. In 2017, the institution was on the verge of closure, but with the support of Engineer Mohamed El-Rashidi, the university was transformed into a successful establishment. Nahda University now boasts robust human and financial resources, positively impacting the local community through its collaboration with the Governor of Beni Suef. This transformation elevated the university from local to global standards.
Badr University has also signed a partnership with Texas University, facilitating student and faculty exchanges. Dr. El-Mallahi praised Engineer Yassin Mansour’s collaboration in establishing Badr University, reaffirming the Egyptian government’s strong support for all educational and scientific research initiatives.
Badr University in New October City recently announced its success in securing cooperation agreements with various government and private hospitals, including Qasr Al-Aini Hospital, Haven Hospital in 6th of October City, and Nahda University Hospital in Beni Suef. These partnerships aim to create a comprehensive learning environment for students in medicine, dentistry, and physical therapy, equipping them with practical skills and experiences required for their professions.
These agreements provide Badr University students with hands-on training in advanced medical settings under the supervision of top doctors and medical professors. The students will gain invaluable experience handling various medical cases across different specialties.
In addition to external partnerships, Badr University is constructing its own teaching hospital on campus to offer a fully immersive educational experience. The university is also providing a 20% discount on tuition fees for its founding students, free transportation until graduation, and numerous other benefits.
