Egyptian president, Saudi interior minister discuss cooperation on security challenges

CAIRO – 8 September 2024: President Abdel Fatah El Sisi received Sunday the Saudi Minister of Interior, Prince Abdel Aziz Bin Saud Bin Nayef Bin Abdel Aziz, to stress the growing importance of collaboration and coordination between the two countries to confront security challenges and risks engendered by regional circumstances.

Those are particularly in the form of terrorist and extremist organizations, cross-border organized crime, and cybercrime.

The Saudi minister delivered the greetings of King Salman Bin Abdel Aziz, and Crown Prince Mohamed Bin Salman. On his side, the Egyptian president sent his greetings either during the meeting that was also attended by the Egyptian minister of interior and the Saudi ambassador. The Saudi and Egyptian ministers had already held a bilateral meeting Saturday during the former's visit to Cairo.
