Egyptian FM meets with Emirati industry minister, investors

CAIRO – 8 September 2024: During his visit to Abu Dhabi, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Egyptian Expats Badr Abdel Aty met Saturday with Emirati Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology Sultan Al Jaber to discuss the UAE's projects and investments in Egypt as well as plans to expand them.

The talks focused on those in energy, localization of industries related to the sector, and mining. That is in addition to the current cooperation on combating climate change, and building upon the outcomes of COP 27 hosted by Egypt and COP 28 hosted by the UAE, precisely those pertinent to mitigation, loss and damage, and climate funding.

Later, Minister Abdelatty met major Emirati and foreign investors in the sectors of telecommunications, energy, mining, ports and logistics. On their side, the investors also expressed interest in the sectors of tourism, and real estate development. Further, the meeting included discussions on planned projects whose implementation will begin soon.
