President Sisi approves appointment of heads of Egypt’s courts of appeal

CAIRO – 8 September 2024: President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi has signed a decree confirming the appointment of the heads of the nation's eight courts of appeal for the period spanning from 22 September 2024, to 30 June 2025.

According to Decree 375/2024, the president has assigned leaders to the courts of appeal in northern Egypt’s Cairo, Alexandria, Tanta, Mansoura, and Ismailia, as well as in Upper Egypt’s Beni Suef, Assiut, and Qena.

Judge Mohamed Nassr will preside over the Cairo Court of Appeal, while Judge Mohamed Salem has been appointed as the head of the Alexandria Court of Appeal.

Judges Mohamed Seleem and Hussein Kandil will serve as the heads of the courts of appeal in Tanta and Mansoura, respectively, while Judge Fekry Sadek has been designated to lead the Ismailia appeal court.

In Upper Egypt, Judge Ahmed Al-Mageri will head the Beni Suef appeal court, Judge Magdi Mostafa will preside over the Assiut appeal court, and Judge Ahmed Qatlan will lead the Qena appeal court.

The decree has been officially published in the official gazette.
