CAIRO – 7 September 2024: Egypt expressed its sincere condolences to Kenya for the death of seventeen students at Hillside Endarasha Academy in Nyeri County following a fire broke out in a dormitory at the school.

 

 

Egypt, the government and the people, extended their sincere condolences to the government and people of the Republic of Kenya and to the families of the victims, in this tragic incident, said the Egyptian Foreign Ministry in a statement on Saturday.

 

 

Egypt affirmed its full solidarity with the brothers in Kenya in this circumstance, the statement added.

 

 

It was confirmed by the Kenyan Ministry of Education the death of 17 students in the fire. Meanwhile, 70 other students have not been counted yet, the BBC reported on Friday.
