CAIRO - 7 September 2024: The Egyptian Drug Authority confirmed that a large number of drug types have been provided in pharmacies, exceeding 500 types with a total of 200 million packages distributed to warehouses and pharmacies.
The Egyptian Drug Authority said that there is cooperation with all companies to provide all drugs and facilitate all procedures in order to provide preparations in the local market with the highest quality and safety for the Egyptian patient.
Dr. Yassin Ragai, Assistant Head of the Egyptian Drug Authority, said that since the beginning of this year 2024, the efforts of the Egyptian Drug Authority to support investment have resulted in the localization of 24 local equivalents of pharmaceutical preparations.

"The Central Administration for Biological Preparations granted 19 biological preparations a new registration notice, and 1671 batches of serums and biological preparations were analyzed for release for various therapeutic categories of blood diseases, cancer and arthritis," he continued.
