CAIRO – 2 September 2024: The Israeli government is accountable for not reaching a truce agreement, and attempts to impose a new reality to cover up its internal crisis, an Egyptian high-profile source told Al Qahera News Monday.

The source warned that persistence of the Gaza War was very perilous, and that the possibility of its expansion on the regional level might incur grave consequences.

"Egypt stresses the fundamentals and framework of any future peace agreement, and those are mainly the rejection of any Israeli presence in Philadelphi corridor or Rafah Border Crossing," the source noted.
