Gov’t pays great attention to development of Upper Egypt: Min.

CAIRO – 2 September 2024: Minister of Local Development Manal Awad said Sunday the government pays great attention to the development of Upper Egyptian governorates in all sectors of importance to citizens.

This came during a meeting held by the minister with Sherif Saleh, head of the Upper Egypt Development Authority, at the ministry's headquarters in the New Administrative Capital.

During the meeting, the progress rate of the development and service projects implemented by the Authority in Upper Egypt was reviewed to improve services provided to citizens and make the best use of the competitive advantages of development programs and initiatives.

The minister lauded the economic and development boom achieved in Upper Egypt over the past ten years.
