Al Azhar warns of Israeli acts of Judaizing, seizing ownership of Palestinian territories

CAIRO – 31 August 2024: Al-Azhar Al-Sharif strongly condemned the Zionist terrorist aggression on the cities of the West Bank, as this aggression destroyed a large sector of roads, facilities and homes.

The top Islamic Sunni institute in Egypt also condemned the bloodshed of dozens and the injury and arrest of hundreds of the Palestinians.

Al-Azhar warned the entire world of a Zionist plan that aims at seizing the Palestinian territories’ ownership, Judaizing their landmarks, killing their owners and Palestinian citizens, and committing a new genocide in light of the brutality of this entity and unprecedented international complicity and UN inability.

Al Azhar added that the world preoccupied with the daily massacres taking place on Gaza, where the enemy has been reassured that no one will take an action regarding what is happening there.

“Al-Azhar also warns of the danger of this aggression on the security and stability of the region, calling on the human community and all active parties to assume their responsibilities towards what the 'Zionist killing machine' has committed in this astonishing, tragic and painful amount of brutal massacres against the people of the Gaza Strip, and what is about to happen in the West Bank,” Azhar said in a statement.

It called also for the necessity of exerting all efforts to stop the Zionist plans aimed at taking lives, stealing land and falsifying history “as if everything is permissible! As if today's world is governed by the law of the jungle!”

The Islamic institution “calls on the Islamic world to harness all potentials - political, diplomatic and popular - and sources of power and to renew the activation of the boycott of Zionist products; to protect Palestinian blood, the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, and the holy city of Jerusalem, and to repel the aggression against our brothers in Palestine.”

In the time when Israel has continued its genocidal war on the Gaza Strip, it launched a military operation in some of the occupied West Bank cities of Jenin, Tulkarm, and Nablus.

The Management of Jenin Governmental Hospital announced in a statement on Saturday that due to the ongoing power outage caused by the Israeli destruction of the power line supplying the hospital, and given that the current generators have been operating for four consecutive days while struggling to meet the demand, the hospital has had to implement several temporary measures like closing dialysis department.

“To manage the situation, we have merged several departments, suspended air conditioning, and partially reduced the operation of oxygen stations. Consequently, the kidney dialysis department is temporarily closed,” the hospital said.

“We have coordinated with the Ministry of Health, the governorate, the Fatah Movement region, and the Transport Syndicate to ensure that patients receive free transportation to medical centers in Nablus until the power crisis is resolved,” the hospital added.

The Palestinian government warned of the Israeli targets against the hospitals in the city of Jenin, while the Palestinian Foreign Ministry said that the far-right Israeli government is trying to impose new changes by force to serve its colonial interests.
