CAIRO – 30 August 2024: Mohamed Abdel Latif, Minister of Education and Technical Education, has approved the use of education specialists and teaching experts with relevant educational qualifications to address the teacher shortage in schools for the 2024-2025 academic year.

This decision aligns with directives to prioritize and address the teacher shortage crisis in educational directorates. It was communicated in a letter from the Ministry of Education and Technical Education to the educational directorates.

The Ministry has instructed that cases of contracted assistant teachers, who have had to relocate to other governorates due to force majeure circumstances, be submitted with supporting documents for reassignment. This directive follows the Minister’s approval to reassign certain cases.

The Ministry emphasized that the list of these cases must be compiled and sent to the Central Administration for Teachers' Affairs by Thursday, August 29, 2024.
