Egypt stresses rejection to Israeli presence in Rafah Border Crossing, Philadelphi Corridor

CAIRO – 26 August 2024: Egypt stressed to all concerned parties its rejection to any Israeli presence in Rafah Border Crossing or Philadelphi Corridor, a high-profile source told Egyptian media Monday.

The Egyptian security delegation is deploying big efforts to achieve the largest extent of congruence among the two parties in Gaza, and coordinates with the U.S. and Qatar, the source added.

It equally noted that Egypt had been administering mediation between the two warring parties in Gaza in alignment with its national security and the rights of the Palestinian people.
